About us

About us

An independent, non-partisan non-governmental organisation based in Zurich – founded in December 2015 out of love for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

About us

“Guided by our love for Bosnia and Herzegovina and an inner drive to give something back to our homeland, we founded the organisation Glas za Bosnu in 2015.” As an independent, non-partisan non-governmental organisation, we stand up for what is good and true, and we call on all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina to love, build and defend our homeland – each in their own way, as best they can.

Our aims

  • to strengthen the national and civic awareness of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and to campaign worldwide for a united, multi-ethnic and multi-religious society free of ethnic divisions;
  • to motivate new generations – wherever they live – to prepare their documents and register as citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina;
  • to encourage them to register and vote in elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Through our work we strengthen the political awareness of the citizens of BiH and seek support for our homeland from people and organisations around the world. We are strictly neutral in party-political terms – everything we do, we do solely out of love for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Our contribution to the homeland

  • encouraging citizens to turn out in greater numbers for local and general elections;
  • providing information and advice on registration and how to vote;
  • cultivating the Bosnian culture of remembrance;
  • networking Bosnian-Herzegovinian organisations;
  • promoting the multi-ethnic values of the Bosnian state and its society.

How we work

  • visits to associations from BiH, cooperation with organisations in Switzerland and networking worldwide;
  • information stands at events of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian community in Switzerland;
  • informative and educational publications;
  • public panel discussions and cultural events;
  • social media posts and short information videos.
